Description & Materials This course introduces students to American fiction from the early 20th century to World War II. Texts covered include Dreiser's Sister Carrie, Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises, Faulkner's Light in August, Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath, Wright's Native Son,and Hurston's Their Eyes Were Watching God.
