Correspondence Study/Flexible Learning provides flexible education for students. Our programs rely on open enrollment, distance study options, and multiple modes of delivery to create access and meet student needs.

Students can take our courses in two delivery formats:

  • Print-based Courses
These are traditional Correspondence Study courses that provide the option to submit assignments by fax, postal service, or online.

  • Online-only Learning Management
    System (LMS) Courses

These are completely online distance learning courses*. A learning management system (LMS) is a secure online course environment that allows students and instructors to email each other, share files, and post grades. The LMS allows for additional course materials such as audio files, slides, links to helpful websites, class notes, and more, which are unavailable in our print-based courses.

*If a student is able to study in a print-based format only, this option may be available for some online courses. For more information, please contact the Flexible Learning Office.

Since 1919 we have provided educational opportunities for students who wish to take courses in order to begin college programs early, take courses with conflicting times or closed sections, meet prerequisites, pursue professional development goals, or for personal enrichment. Our courses' content and requirements parallel their on-campus counterparts.
