Correspondence Courses for the Incarcerated
Since 1919, the University of Florida has been providing distance education to those who cannot come to campus, including those who are incarcerated. To the extent possible, the University of Florida, through its Division of Continuing Education’s Flexible Learning Program, aims to provide incarcerated students with the same quality courses and services available to all students enrolled in credit courses. These services include easy course registration, textbook purchase, and access to other UF offices and departments (e.g., registrar).
For those assisting incarcerated students who do not have online access to this website, please refer especially to the following sections for further information for your incarcerated student and print out as needed: Student Handbook, How Flexible Learning Works, Submitting Assignments, and Frequently Asked Questions.
