This course is designed to train water treatment plant operators in the basic requirements of plant operation and maintenance, as well as to help prepare them to take the water treatment state certification exam at the "C" level. After completing the course, the student will understand the responsibilities of water treatment plant operation and control, as well as develop skill in safe operational procedures, sampling, and laboratory testing techniques. Teaches basic biology, bacteriology, mathematics, and chemistry associated with water treatment. (144 contact hours)
