Online Services for Print-Based Courses
With Correspondence Study's Online Services, instructors can review your students' academic progress and update personal information. Additionally instructors in some courses are now able to receive and respond to assignments electronically and to report grades on those assignments online.
- If you are an instructor and want to use the online system, please email us. Setting up your course takes only a few minutes.
- Then, access the online grading system by opening a web browser and going to this page: https://ssl.continuinged.ufl.edu/is/tacs/login.aspx
The online system allows instructors to download student papers, mark them electronically and/or type comments that will be displayed to the student online, and enter a grade. The main advantages to the online system are speed and ease. The system is faster for both instructors and students and it's easy to use because the system saves a copy of assignments submitted online and keeps track of all grades, so there's no need to keep paper records. The system makes grading easier overall because instructors receive automatic email notifications when assignments are submitted. Plus, instructors can email a single student or all students through the online system, making it easier to communicate with students.
Once logged in, instructors see the main page below. By clicking on a student’s name on the left, instructors can download assignments, upload files with comments or write comments directly in a textbox and then enter the grade online. The grades are not automatically calculated, so you can enter “-1” “90” “A-/B+” and any other preferred grading format.
